Partnership Development Executive (Fixed Term)

Description

The Partnership Development team is responsible for generating revenues through the acquisition of commercial partners on both a regional and global basis.As well as delivering revenue in to the Club the partners should positively expose and promote Arsenal Football Club, helping to build its international fan base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Partnership Development Managers in attracting and contracting new commercial partners for the Club
  • Identifying and developing an understanding of new prospects/targets for the Club via desk-based research across variety of industries and geographies
  • Supporting the Partnership Development Managers in contacting new prospective partners and securing initial meetings
  • Assisting with the production of new business presentations and proposals, tailored to the business priorities of the company in question
  • Ensuring the sales tracking system is kept up to date
  • Ownership of individual projects in support of new business aims, for example: Interpretation of research findings into key insights to support sales process and Engagement with various Club departments e.g. Marketing, Community etc. to define and create activation properties for new partners
  • Business related matchday/event entertaining only as required

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications/Training:

  • Preferably educated to degree level

Specific Experience:

  • Relevant experience for an agency, media owner or rights-holder, or corporate in a sales or business development role
  • Proven track record of managing projects end to end demonstrating time management and attention to detail
  • Experience of working across international territories and different industries an advantage

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), competent and confident on the telephone
  • Strong research skills
  • Driven self-starter
  • Organised and have proven attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and support the team in all areas from administrative to strategic
  • Competence in Microsoft applications, and preferably Keynote
  • Keen interest in progressive marketing techniques & initiatives
  • An understanding of brand dynamics and consumer trends
  • A passion or empathy with sport/sports entertainment
  • Sport/Sponsorship experience not essential
  • Fluency in languages other than English is an advantage

Hours of Work

Your normal working week will be 09:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday; a total of 40 hours per week. Outside of this international travel and matchday entertaining could also be required.
